The Spring Point Team

Project Team

Spring Point Project’s team is committed to curing diabetes today and working to ensure donor animals meet the criteria needed for transplant into humans, animal welfare standards are exceptional, the barrier facility meets federal regulations, and funds provided to the organization are used responsibly to further the mission of the organization.

Board of Directors

Spring Point Project’s board of directors is a volunteer board and many members have family members who have been tragically affected by diabetes. The board has proven their commitment to ending the restrictions, the fears and the suffering by giving freely of their time, expertise and resources.

Safety and Scientific Advisory Board

Spring Point Project’s advisory board includes some of the most accomplished scientists in the world whose cross-disciplinary research experience with both humans and animals – particularly pigs – is unsurpassed. What’s more, their access to other experts around the world facilitates the pollination of ideas key to scientific advances.

“My wife, Patty, and I became involved in the fight to find a cure for diabetes following the diagnosis of our son, Cory, with Type 1 diabetes. Since that time,
a mighty group of board members,
donors and supporters, all with a
passion for finding a cure for diabetes, have joined our efforts and made our accomplishments possible.”
