Partnership Vision

Spring Point Project and the Schulze Diabetes Institute envisage to make available reasonably affordable and broadly available porcine islet xenotransplantation treatments to diabetes patients as soon as possible in a cost-effective way.

But there's more to it than that. Working together, Spring Point and the Institute see a world without diabetes a world where monitoring and daily injections are no longer a part of anyones life.

To accomplish this task, we need abundant, reliable and safe sources of islet cells for transplantation. Researchers at the University of Minnesota found the reliable source: pigs. That's where Spring Point Project comes in.
